THE STUDIO
We are a boutique interior design firm founded in 2022 and located in the San Francisco Bay Area. JYD is currently working on projects locally and nationally.
Our approach is rooted in classic design principles, thoughtful space planning, and sensitivity to the environmental and historical context. We start with understanding how our clients live and work, and develop bespoke solutions that seamlessly integrate with the architecture of their space.
We believe in delivering the utmost value for clients through careful investment in the highest quality materials and objects and flawless communication, budget, and project management throughout each engagement.
THE FOUNDER
Julie Yen is an experienced business professional-turned-designer who is pas-sionate about designing interior environments that enhance her clients’ lives.
She brings a unique multi-disciplinary background to design, having worked at large companies spanning fashion retail, technology, business, and finance including Google, Amazon, and Levi’s, as well as art museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art early in her career. These diverse experiences have fos-tered her unique blend of strategic thinking and business savvy combined with a sharp eye for design and aesthetics.
Julie holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Stanford University, and has completed coursework in the UC Berkeley Extension Interior Design and Interior Architecture Program and NKBA accredited Kitchen and Bath design program at Cañada College.
