Julie Yen Design is a boutique interior design studio creating elegant spaces that feel as good as they look.
Our work is grounded in classic design principles, thoughtful space planning, and sensitivity to architectural and environmental context. We begin by understanding how our clients live, what they value, and how they want their space to feel—then translate those insights into spaces that feel graceful, calm, and distinctively their own.
Just as considered as the finished space is the experience of creating it. We bring clarity to the many decisions involved in a project—from establishing priorities through final installation—with thoughtful communication and disciplined project management throughout.

THE FOUNDER
Julie Yen is the founder and principal designer of Julie Yen Design.
Her approach combines an art historian's eye with an operator's discipline.
Before founding the studio in 2020, Julie worked across art, fashion, technology, and business, with experience at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Levi Strauss & Co., Google, and Amazon. That multidisciplinary background continues to shape the way she approaches design—with equal attention to beauty, function, context, and the people who will ultimately inhabit a space.
Julie holds an MBA and a BA in Art History from Stanford University, with additional training in interior architecture and kitchen and bath design.
